About Us

Over 50s hub, was started by myself in 2018. I was nearing 50 and just moved into a new area and looking to make new friends. I started a Facebook group for over 50s, the rest is history. My partner Ian and I, now run about 15 Global facebook friendship groups for over 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s plus. We currently have over 120.000 members and are growing daily. We have an amazing admin team that help run them.

We came up with the idea to create a website bringing our over 50s Facebook members and non Facebook together. From day one it had to have a powerful search option so you could search for new friends in not only your geographical area but for people with similar interests. There will be online, face to face events, holidays, courses and so much more. The events that are currently run by the FB group members will be run by them through this website for all members.

We realise that as we get older and due to life’s unforeseen circumstances, you loose contact with friends they move or pass on, sometimes we loose our partner. It’s often harder after all the years together to start making new friend’s, or you and or your partner just want to widen your circle of friends.

My wonderful partner Ian is building the website ready to start this amazing friendly community. We released it in Feb 2024 and we are really looking forward to being a part of this life changing journey by bringing over 50s together from those on and off facebook.
